Louise Ainger - Physiotherapy Expert for Brain Injury

Louise Ainger is a highly specialist Neurological Physiotherapist, working in partnership with PhysioFunction to deliver expert neurological medico-legal services.

With over two decades of experience, Louise specialises in the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with mild to severe acquired and traumatic brain injuries, including adolescents and adults with complex neurological conditions and learning disabilities. She is also a medico-legal expert, providing reports for Claimants and Defendants following catastrophic injuries.

Louise holds a master’s degree in Neurorehabilitation and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). She is an active member of several clinical interest groups, including ACPIN, ACPIVR, AACP, and the Medico-Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MLACP).

Her extensive clinical background includes specialist roles within the NHS, private practice, and third-sector services. Louise brings a holistic, client-centred approach to neurological rehabilitation, coordinating multi-disciplinary rehab programmes and providing tailored support for families, support teams, and professionals. Her expertise spans complex postural management, specialist equipment assessment, hydrotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and care team training.
