Kiran Khela - Neurological Occupational Therapist

Qualifications & Experience

Kiran graduated in 2016 from the University of Northampton. She then spent 3 years on the junior rotation within University Hospitals of Leicester Trust, where she gained most of her experience and a solid foundation for her OT skills.

Trying her hand to something different, she worked as the senior OT on the intensive care unit over the covid period. This brought a lot of challenges her way, but certainly made her the practitioner she is today.

Kiran has also worked as a neurological OT within the private sector, working herself up to a clinical specialist within the field. This is where Kiran's OT skills really come to light, using a mixture of upper limb rehabilitation skills, functional everyday tasks, matched with a holistic approach, including psychological needs.

Kiran works with all neurological conditions.

Kiran’s role at PhysioFunction

Kiran is based at Physiofunction in Spratton, providing rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions.

Kiran works with clients helping them to turn progress in physiotherapy into real-life independence. From adapting daily tasks to recommending equipment, she can bridge the gap between rehabilitation exercises and meaningful everyday activities. Her holistic approach supports recovery, boosts confidence, and empowers clients to live fuller, more independent lives.

When not working, Kiran enjoys swimming, walking her dog and spending time with her family.
