The Bioness Go is a Functional Electrical Stimulation Foot Drop Device that assists with walking for people who have a Foot Drop as a result of nerve injury, nerve root injury, a muscle or nerve disorder or individuals who have a brain or spinal cord condition such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Acquired head/brain injury or Incomplete spinal cord injury.
The Bioness Go is a cuff-based system that is easy to apply and use. It is wireless and does not require a heel switch which makes changes in footwear simple and barefoot walking an option.
The Bioness Go cuff houses a 3D Motion Detector which accurately monitors your leg position as you step and provides electrical stimulation precisely when needed. The electrical stimulation is delivered by electrodes embedded in the cuff. The stimulation assists in muscle activity to lift the foot, making it easier to lift the foot and step in any direction and over different terrain.
The device also offers a training mode which can be used to promote training of the muscles that lift the foot when seated.
The device can be paired with the My Bioness App to allow ease of day-to-day use of the device in walking and training mode as well as monitoring of step count, distance walked and application of software updates.
