PhysioFunction works with clients on a one-to-one basis in our clinics or in their own homes. Our aim is to help people maximise their independence in everyday life. PhysioFunction believes in clinical excellence, quality of service and fairness in our dealings with clients. We also recognise and respect the work of medical professionals within the NHS and seek to build on the foundations they create.
Our team of highly trained specialist physiotherapists are experts in the treatment of all neurological conditions; they will provide one-to-one treatments specifically tailored to individual needs.
Neurological conditions encompass a broad spectrum of disorders affecting the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. These disorders can lead to a variety of symptoms, impacting movement, sensation, cognition, and overall quality of life.
Neurological disorders can be broadly categorized based on the affected region of the nervous system:
- Central Nervous System (CNS) Disorders with involve the brain and spinal cord. Examples include Stroke, MS, Parkinson’s and SCI
- Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) Disorders which affect nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Examples include Guillain-Barré Syndrome and Peripheral Neuropathy
PhysioFunction offers a range of state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology, much of which is not available from the NHS, and can compliment the treatments provided by the Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Therapists.
PhysioFunction is able to devote the time required to fully address our clients' needs. We have considerable experience in helping clients make improvements long after their initial illness or injury, in some cases years after. By working with PhysioFunction to maximise their independence in daily activities, our clients have renewed energy and physical ability to devote to both work and leisure.
