Guy graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While completing his undergraduate degree in the United States of America, Guy routinely volunteered at a Parkinson’s support group, Rock Steady Boxing, where he found a vocational interest in helping individuals with Parkinson’s disease achieve their goals.
Guy then went on to complete his masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Northampton. On graduating with his masters, Guy gained experience working on an acute respiratory ward and working as a community physiotherapist, providing physiotherapy treatments to individuals in their own home, working a wide variety of neurological, musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions.
Guy is based at Physiofunction in Spratton, providing rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions. He has a special interest in integrating evidence-based interventions and utilising the state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology available at Physiofunction to enable clients to reach their goals.
Guy believes in maximising independence through a combination of hands-on therapy, rehabilitation technology and exercise prescription to empower individuals to make positive changes. Guy finds that to facilitate positive change and increase physical function, it is important to understand clients on an individual and personal level to provide holistic treatment for both physical and emotional recovery.
