Our client Andy Ellis now successfully uses two devices (FES and a splint) for different life situations to combat his Foot Drop caused by Multiple Sclerosis.

To help with Andy's walking he uses an FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) device daily. The device electrodes activate the muscles in Andy's leg to lift his foot when walking.

Recently, Andy was fitted with a TurboMed splint - which unlike many leg braces - can be fitted to any footwear.

The Turbomed has meant that for the first time since Andy's diagnosis he has been able to drive a manual car and ride a bike again!

Andy is now looking into using the splint to take part in walking football too!
