We are really excited that Jon Graham our Clinical Director will be appearing as an expert on Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies TONIGHT!
The programme is to be aired on TONIGHT and will show Jon treating Becky, a young stroke survivor from Devon who suffered a stroke whilst out shopping one day. Despite the odds Becky pulled through, although the effects of the stroke were apparent down one side of her body.
Jon Graham was invited by the Embarrassing Bodies Team and Dr Dawn to treat Becky with his knowledge of Neurological Physiotherapy and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). FES works by stimulating the body's nerves and activates weakened muscles to provide an aid to walking thus assisting recovery and independent mobility.
Becky's first appointment with Jon took place in December 2013 and since then, she has undergone a series of innovative treatments from Jon and other experts ... with a film crew in tow!
Next Thursday's Embarrassing Bodies will follow Becky's rehabilitation journey that resulted in her being fitted with an FES device by Jon Graham to help her walk again without the use of a stick. Becky's recovery has gone from strength to strength.
Watch Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies, TONIGHT at 9.00pm.
